- HIPAA: It is Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, which provides portability from a group health insurance policy to an individual health insurance policy. It also gives a switching policy advantage for employee from one employer to other if an individual is covered for at least 18 months in his previous policy.
- ERISA: It is the Employee Retirement and Income Security Act; it protects every participants of health insurance from the misconduct of employer and insurer. This Act strictly monitors all claims, amendments, transactions, benefits and denials related with health insurance policy.
